What a wonderful post Tammy… I was there with your teenage self standing on that prairie - seeing the remnants of what was a place that once held your heart - with new life reclaiming itself through the ashes. Beautiful photos too. Peace always to you.
"But there is a God who refashions broken lives and renews hope." Yes, thankfully. Congratulations on your new grandbaby on the way, and I am praying for a continued safe pregnancy and delivery. May the Lord bless your writing endeavors on Eyewitness. Beautiful pictures!
I am one of those mommas whose adult daughter has backed away from her Christian faith. Along with her very serious boyfriend, they are not connected to their foundation of faith, or any community of faith. Please pray for them both, and for me and how this has broken my heart.
We are still in touch, but matters of faith are not discussed. My husband and I are Co-Pastors of a little rural church, and we are also Chaplains on a 40 acre senior adult campus. We've been in ministry for about 40 years now. ❣️
Let me share what God spoke to my heart 20 years regarding my adult sons who all, at the time of our divorce due to their dad’s infidelity, self-identified as atheists.
He said “quit saying they left their faith. They left YOUR faith. They haven’t found theirs yet.” That was paradigm shaking for me. But I did. I quit thinking they left something and began thinking and praying they were on a journey to find something. And I’m seeing such fruit and new commitments to God and faith in their lives!! Just recently! 20 years. Let go of your expectations of what it will or should look like and know God has them on an adventure all their own. I’ll be praying for you Rachel.
A beautiful post sharing the hope of the gospel, the only true hope we have is in the arms of our Jesus. Blessings to you! I am a new subscriber and have been blogging for many years and just stepping in the waters of substack. I too am expecting a 2nd grandbaby in November and I will.be praying for yours!
Good morning, Marilyn. Oh, what a blessing to live under the grace of the cross. Congratulations to you your family! May the Lord watch over your grandchildren and anoint them with His love and power. Thank you for your prayers and welcome to Substack.💜

Said a prayer for you Rachel. God is with your daughter and her boyfriend out in that wilderness. And He will do His work there as well 🙏
