Have you heard of the “quiet revival?” Experts like Dr. Rhiannon McAleer notes a cultural shift occurring among Gen Z. A shift responsible for reversing the decline of the church in England. A shift that includes both young men and women, and extends beyond ethnicity or skin color.
In the previous series, I mentioned that God met me amid lockdowns and chaos. I longed to be filled with His presence. For a closer relationship with Him. I didn’t realize it at the time, but I yearned for personal revival.
Maybe you feel disoriented, disconnected, or distraught. Perhaps personal circumstances have felt too heavy or confusing. You might be experiencing a dry spiritual season, and you know only the Lord can refresh your spirit.
I’m praying you might enjoy a quiet revival of your own.
The first step? Embrace quiet.
Verse of the Day
“Cease striving and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalm 46:10 LSB)
Shift Toward Revival
Revival begins in the quiet places—a prayer closet, favorite chair, or any location in which you dedicate time and space to Him.
Revival requires intentionality and a focus on personal connection with Jesus.
Revival demands an exchange of our mess for His shalom; a willingness to cease striving as we sit at the feet of Jesus.
Simple Steps for Your Week
Like last week, set aside at least 5-10 minutes each day to soak in the quiet, invite His presence, and listen.
Journal what God reveals or how He calms your heart in those moments.
Remember, some revivals are quiet.
A Song to Encourage Your Heart
Praying for you,
Tammy
P.S. Aren’t the flowers beautiful? I snapped the photo at the Steamboat Springs Botanical Garden.
I know that God is with me in the crazy, the loud, the chaotic. But I am so grateful for His presence in the quiet, the peace, the solitude. Thanks, Tammy for these sacred reflections ...
It is wonderful to embrace Him in the quiet. And the flowers are beautiful! Thank you for sharing a picture from your trip to the Steamboat Springs Botanical Garden, Tammy.
